A brief view of the 2018 Chateau Impney Hill Climb

In the theatre they say: “The smell of the greasepaint, the roar of the crowd!”.  Well there may not have been the smell of the greasepaint, but there was most definitely the roar of the crowd due to the drama, excitement and spectacle provided by the competitors at this year’s weekend event.

Slight disappointment that Duncan Pittaway’s Fiat S76 (the Beast of Turin) was not there due to ongoing repairs following a recent altercation with a ferry. But this was more than made up for by the stunning array of cars present from the 1907 Berliet /Curtiss to the vast array of 1960s classics.

The weather was perfect, the venue was perfect – Chateau Impney you surpassed yourself this year.  We had the most fabulous weekend – definitely a weekend from heaven (or should we say mycarheaven!) – one to remember.
