Highlighting the massive event’s ever-increasing popularity, advanced ticket sales for what’s already the World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival are at unprecedented levels, with record numbers taking full advantage of the special ‘Early Bird’ discounts currently on offer.

If you want to guarantee tickets then buy your early bird tickets ASAP. Those booking by 31 March 2014 can save up to 15 per cent on adult tickets – which give access to the entire festival site – now available from just £33. A spiraling number of people are taking advantage of the multi-day ticket savings and onsite accommodation options including camping, bell tent glamping and hotel rooms to stay at Silverstone for the entire action-packed three-day event.
Last year’s Classic was the biggest to date, with more than 90,000 enthusiasts of all ages flocking to Silverstone to savour what was voted the ‘Motorsport Event of the Year’ at the third International Historic Motoring Awards (IHMA). The non-stop family entertainment was topped by 23 eye-catching races featuring a world record entry of 1113 amazing racing cars spanning eight decades of motor sport history.
The 2014 race line-up promises to be every bit as evocative and, with more car clubs than ever before registering for in-field displays, last July’s best ever total of 9000 classic cars on show could be surpassed in July.
Other confirmed highlights include glittering demonstrations and parades to mark the centenary of the magical Maserati marque, as well as the Golden Anniversary of Ford’s legendary Mustang – the world’s best-selling ‘classic’ car of all time.
Tickets will only be available in advance and the Classic is sticking to its popular ‘access all areas’ policy. Offering great value, all tickets grant admission to free parking, both race pits and paddocks, trackside grandstands, fun fair rides, air displays and live music concerts on Friday and Saturday evening which this year will be topped by Canned Heat and Bonnie Tyler.
Those booking before the end of March can save almost 15 per cent on three-day weekend tickets, which are priced at £95 rather than £110. Similar discounts are available on all adult tickets. Child (aged 6 to 16) admission tickets are only £5.50 and those aged under 6 year are free. To avoid confusion, the ‘booking fee’ is now included in the price with only a small single transaction fee added to cover postage (£1.95 for standard delivery).

It is my Dad’s 60th birthday on the 24th July and I am struggling to get him a once in a lifetime gift experience and I know that this would make him so happy. He has been going to Silverstone for about 40 years now and always watches in the best and worst weather that Silverstone can offer, it would be fantastic to spoil him a little and offer him this special experience and allow him to remember times gone by.
Amazing event! Highlight for me last year was finding the BRDC car park, zondas, merc sls and classic 300sl roadster. FANTASTIC!! Would love to go this year!
Another fantastic giveaway which i would love to have the chance of winning. I would love to be able to take my Dad to Silverstone for the Classic this year. I have never had the opportunity to go to this event but it always looks like a fantastic event which is always well supported.
Being a huge Motorsport fan for over 20 years i would love to go and have a browse around the cars from back in the day and i’m sure my Dad would love the nostalgia of the event.
Hearing those engines and smelling that fuel on one of the best tracks in the world would make for a fantastic day out!

I was lucky enough to visit silverstone classic a few years ago. the event brings you so many lasting memorys.
I arrived early to to make the most of the day and the early start was so worth it. whilst looking around the early arriving classic cars, a hot air balloon took off from the over side of the track and i watched it rise about the trees in the early morning sun.
The infield soon so fills up with all of the car clubs covering all of the grass and hard standing area, which on its own would make a great car show.
The next thing that hits you is the sound,as the race cars start to warm up for the first races, the still of a summers morning being broken by the sound of a formula ford engine being rev’d up and before you know it the first race is rolling passed you.
Every where you look there is another classic car or race car parked up.
Due to the size of silverstone there are classic routemaster buses to help you get around, i thought i had made a mistake as i was on one of the buses just as the Classic F1 race was starting but this turned out to be one of the best sights of the weekend. seeing the cars go down between maggots and becketts whilst on a moving bus just added to the already heightened excitement of the race.
The day was just topped off with the group c race as the sun sets over the track and you get the odd spit of fire from these beasts
So I happen to be in UK coincidentally during the Silverstone weekend. Originally from India. Had vowed to myself after watching my first race live in India last year that will attend Atleast one race somewhere each year. Think it’s luck that I’m there during Silverstone and would love it if I could attend the race. Damn those engines vrooming still give me an adrenaline rush…

I haven’t seen a BTCC race live for almost 20 years since 1995. I used to follow it all over: Donington, Oulton, Silverstone, Snetterton, Thruxton and even up to Knockhill. I watched regularly from about 1988 Frank Sytner days through to John Cleland winning in ’95. I remember ’93 being a great year I stood open mouthed watching right near where Julian Bailey put Will Hoy on his roof smashing his championship victory hopes and earlier that same year saw Mansell crash the Ford at Donington I didn’t get a photo either time just stood not quite believing what I was seeing. Moved abroad so only caught a few races on TV over the years. Wow Matt Neal is still going strong and amazing to see Alain Menu back this year. I return to the UK this July and would love to support the Silverstone Classic for old times sake, a dose of nostalgia and also to see how the circuit has changed over that time too!!!
It’s such a wonderful day out – time to appricate the heritage of British racing.
Last year my husband and our two sons aged 9&12 stood on the wittlebury bridge over the a43, watching the cars leave the show, they waved till their arms ached and took photo after photo, and were thrilled by the roars of the engines, all the fantastic cars that went by, and by how many of the drivers that waved to them. I know they would be amazed to be able to actually go into the show this year and experience it for ‘real’ if we were lucky enough to win some tickets. 🙂

I have honestly never been to the silverstone classic before,my good old dad bangs on about it every year,I was taken to various classic car to modern car shows when I was younger,and at my age now I reckon it’s about time I had the chance to see what my dad was endlessly chatting about all after all them years if telling me to go so I can also have the memories he did!
I’d love a pair of tickets so I can take a friend of mine who has had a really difficult couple of years and he’s a big motorsport fan too.
This event is a must for those who enjoy the Classic car scene. Managed to go to Donington Park Classic car show last year had a great time.
I agree Richard, the Ferrari F40 parade was very cool and those 1970’s F1 cars are super loud. We cannot wait.
Our last visit was a coupe of years ago. It had been at least ten years since our last visit and, unlike most other events, all the changes were positive. The classic is now a huge event and the infield is packed with stuff to do.
Balmy sight of the day was the F40 parade; it was strangely brain-boggling to see row after row of F40s to the horizon.
Would love to see the 70s F1 cars on the track again and find myself inexplicably drawn to the Tin Snail Challenge.
I grew up near Silverstone, it’s where my friends and I went at weekends.
I now have kids of my own, who grew up in Australia, and now we have returned, it would be great to take them and show them some of the sensations and experiences that their Dad was priviledged to enjoy.
Have been getting nagged by my brother for years to come along to the Classic – just never quite found the motivation – but winning some tickets would solve that very nicely! Please?
I would love to as I have never been before but am told its a fantastic time, hearing those cars roar past and the atmosphere of the crowd is suppose to be electric, make a dad and his son the two happiest people at Silverstone.
I went for the first time last year and took my brother. It was the best day ever. Loved being down in the pits and sensing all that history and feeling the energy bad enthusiasm of all the owners and racers. Would love to share that experience again with someone else.
I went to the Silverstone Classic, several times in the Nineties, used to be £6 for the day.

What an excellent place to take the Lotus Europa JPS mid-engine, and watch loads of classic sports cars race. The smell, the noise, the cars, I would love to be there to experience it all with the b/f. Photos galore to be taken and classic sports cars galore to be loved and enthused over.
