We’ve done it again! We are delighted to be able to announce that we will be running a competition for you our readers, though May, June and early July, where you could win a pair of tickets to this years Silverstone Classic.
Now if you’ve been before you will know this is a not to be missed event.
We will have five sets of tickets for the Saturday 21st July 2012, which is probably the biggest day of them all!
Please note, if you cannot wait and you just have to buy tickets now, and no one would blame you for that, well buy tickets before the end of March 2012 and receive an Early Bird discounted rate.

The 25 year anniversary of the Sierra RS500 will be celebrated in the Touring Car Trophy race. This is a race not to be missed with Super Touring Cars and Group A machines sharing the grid.
The Whole weekend looks fantastic with F1, F5000 and group C sportscars being the major highlight (just imagine the noise) and if I win the competition I would take dad and the camera (and brolly) and capture some photo for Mycarheaven 🙂
This competition is worth it just to see the Lancia LC2s sit on the start line never mind racing.What a Buz.
I would love to go to Silverstone Classic as I’ve never been before but have heard such great things about it from people who have.

This year’s Silverstone Classic looks like it’s going to be great. They say (as you would expect) that it is going to be the biggest and best ever.

I shared my fond memories of this event last year, of me and my siter being taken to the Silverstone Classics event each year by our father who is classic car crazy! He has owned many classic cars over the years from Sunbeam Rapiers, Daimler Darts, E-Type Jags, MG’s and many more. My parents now live in New Zealand and are over visiting for four weeks from 10th July. It would be fantastic to be able to attend this wonderful event with my father, this time being that bit older to be able to appreciate it fully with him.
Many many memories of silverstone during my 47 years, sat in the grandstand at Woodcote witnessing Alan Jones setting the ultimate lap record, with all four wheels on the grass as he exited Woodcote as he finished the lap, attending the Indy cars in the late seventy’s and chatting with Dan Gurney, Roger Penske, A J Foyt, Danny Sullivan etc etc Senna qualifiying the Turbo JPS Lotus, the list is endless, and i still get the same thrill.
