Porsche 718-RS61 (1961): what a beautiful racing car.
First built in 1957, the Porsche 718 was a development of the successful 550A. The 718 that won its class and came third overall at the Le Mans in 1958 and won both the Sebring 12 hours and Targo Florio in 1960.
This 1961 model (pictured at the 2011 Chelsea Autolegends),delivered new to Bob Holbert in the US, scored 14 wins including 1st overall at Watkins Glen and class wins at Daytona and Lime Rock.
Now owned by Sir Stirling Moss, it recently scored a superb class at the Le Mans Legends support race at the 2011 Le Mans 24 hours.
