Win a pair of tickets to Chateau Impney Hill Climb 2015

Chateau Impney in Droitwich, Worcestershire was a popular motorsport venue in the 1950s and 1960s, playing host to a number of speed trials. Now, the team at Chateau Impney are taking the opportunity to bring motorsport back to the venue, and the inaugural Chateau Impney Hill Climb will take place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2015.

Over 200 competitors will compete in the revival event, which caters for pre-1967 cars, on a track that is almost double the length of the course used in original sprint events of the 1950s and 1960s – the organisers believe it to be one of the most challenging and unique in the country. A number of high-profile competitors and cars have been announced so far – Matt Grist, winner of last year’s Historic Monaco event, will compete in his Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B, and eight of the world’s remaining ERAs will compete across the weekend.

As well as the competition itself, an expected 10,000 spectators can look forward to a ‘social’ Concours d’Elegance, where they can vote for their favourite car on social media, an exhibition space with over 100 assorted motoring vendors, and a spectacular classic car auction run by H&H Auctions.

To win yourself a pair of complimentary tickets to this event just tell us which pre-1967 car you’d love to drive up the hill and why.  We will draw our winners at random a few weeks before the event.  Good luck.

    Hi Will
Thank you for the free tickets for the Chateau Impney Hill Climb held last week-end 11th/12th June. The organisers are to be congratulated on putting a great event. All aspects of the event including, cars entered, facilities, spectator access to paddock, viewing areas, commentary, ambiance and general organisation were all first class. I wish them every success for the future. Thanks again Trevor

Would have to be a Cooper 500 Mark IV, if the lovely Shirley Monro would let me 😉 Such an iconic hillclimb car of the era, and being originally owned by the great Sir Stirling as well, what more could you want?!!

I live 14 miles from the Chateau Impney Hill Climb so it is my local motor sport venue. I used to attend in the 50’s and 60’s so I have many happy memories of my early interest in motor sport during these visits. The new owners appear to have worked hard to reintroduce motor sport to the extended track and the entry list looks fantastic, especially the number of ERAs. I would very much like to attend, so that I can enjoy once again the nostalgia of what I hope will be a fantastic event.
The car I would like to drive at the event would be an Austin Healey Sprite Mk 1 as this was the in vogue car amongst club members during this time.

Fiat S76 ‘The beast of Turin’ Simply because of the history of the car and the smell of vintage pedigree.
