Isuzu UK was chosen as headline sponsor of 2019 Master Builder Awards

Isuzu UK has been chosen by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) as the headline sponsor for this year’s Master Builder Awards.

The Isuzu D-Max pick-up is a favourite on the construction site and has been since its introduction in 2012. Favoured for its robustness, high towing capacity and efficiency, the FMB’s decision to award sponsorship to Isuzu cements their place as the brand for pick-ups in the construction and engineering industry.

Last year, the Isuzu D-Max scooped the ‘What Van? Pick-Up of The Year for 2018’ award, beating out strong competition in a highly contested sector. And this year, the Isuzu D-Max won ‘Most Reliable Pickup’ at the inaugural Professional Pickup & 4×4 Awards.

The 2019 Master Builder Awards

The Federation of Master Builders is the UK’s largest trade association in the building industry and they are hosts of the Master Builder Awards.

The Master Builder Awards is an annual event that celebrates the first-class work performed and overseen by small and medium-sized builders. Both individuals and building firms are recognised at the awards with numerous categories to recognise all areas of the trade, from bathroom and kitchen fitting to renovation projects and apprenticeships.

The most prestigious award is ‘Master Builder’. This is awarded to the company or individual who delivers the most breath-taking project. Last year’s winner was building firm John Dynes & Son for their work on a new build family home in Carryduff. The winner of ‘Master Builder’ is heralded as the overall winner of the ceremony.

Isuzu UK’s sponsorship of the Master Builder Awards brings a new dynamic to the relationship between Isuzu and trade. For the first time, Isuzu is hosting an award instead of just scooping them up. A doubly good combination by any measure.

The Isuzu D-Max range

The Isuzu D-Max range is split into a Utility and Premium range, with Utility models available in a Single, Extended or Double cab configuration and with 4×2 or 4×4 drive.

Premium models are available in Eiger, Yukon, Utah or Blade specification, with useful features like heated leather seats, keyless entry and push-button start, a 9-inch touchscreen and a reversing camera available as standard.

For hardcore off-roading, the D-Max AT35 has a Fox Performance series suspension for improved approach, departure and break-over angles. It also comes with 315/70 R17 Nokian Rotiiva AT tyres, a receiver hitch for towing and a torque wrench for suspension adjustment.
