Postcard from the 2017 Salon Privé
So, so late to post, but such is life. Busy, busy, busy. Better late than never.
Salon Privé in it’s 12th year took place in the grounds of the magnificent Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire for the third consecutive year. A beautiful landscape, exquisite building, classic cars, supercars, hypercars, in a relaxed and nice environment is why this event is one of our favourites of the year. It ticks all the boxes to be My Car Heaven.
Claimed as one of the best and most exclusive garden parties in the UK, it certainly is exclusive if you want to get into the Concours event itself, with half day or full day tickets costing hundreds of pounds. But what’s been great is that in the last few years they’ve opened part of the event to all, with classic cars, supercars and hyper cars aplenty, with the odd exclusive unveiling. This year visitors to Blenheim Palace could see all the supercars in the walkway (grand entrance) up to the event, and a few in the car park as well (see a selection of photos below).

On the Day we attended (Saturday) Salon Prive had a new feature for the day. New for 2017 was a featured marque display, and this year it was a tribute to the 70th year of Ferrari. Super cool with over 50+ rare or collectible Ferrari’s on display. Some of our favourites are shown below:

Salon Privé is without doubt a wonderful event, and one I’d recommend any car fan, art lover, aficionado of beautiful things to visit and above all it’s a wonderful day out. It has firmly been in our top 5 UK car shows to attend for some years, and the 2017 event was as good as ever. We cannot wait for 2018.
