My top three Ferrari’s.

So we all love Ferrari’s, who doesn’t!  But how do you choose your favourite among the hundreds of Ferrari’s produced over several decades? Well no doubt everyone will have a slightly different take on it. I thought I would highlight the three Ferrari’s that I would buy if money were no object. I have listed them in order of priority in my mind:

Ferrari F40

  • Years produced: 1987-1992
  • Volume of Production: 1315

What a mega supercar, iconic, desirable and I would love one. This is raw at its best.

Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta

  • Years produced: 1960 – 1963
  • Volume of Production: 168; 92 steel (10 RHD), 24 Comp (one RHD), 52 Alloy (three RHD).

and of course, predictably the…

Ferrari 250 GTO

  • Years produced: 1962-1964
  • Volume of Production: 36 (33 Series I, 3 Series II; eight RHD, all Series I).

The 250 GTO (gran turismo olomogato–racing homologation special). A superb road car, with a reputation built primarily on the racetrack; many are driven often, and with relish.

Cars I also considered:

365 GTB/4 & GTS/4 Daytona

  • Years produced: 1968-1974
  • Volume of Production: 1406 (1284 coupes, 122 spiders)

275 GTB

  • Years produced: 1964-1966.
  • Volume of Production: 454; 239 Short nose (18 RHD), 215 Long nose (13 RHD).

Ferrari Enzo

  • Years produced: 2002-2005.
  • Volume of Production: 400

Ferrari 250 SWB

 Volume of Production: 165

  • Made from: 1959-1962

Ferrari 166mm Barchetta

  • Years produced: 1948-1953
  • Volume of Production: 25 (Touring Barchettas)

Ferrari 206/ 246 Dino

  • Years produced: 1968-1974
  • Volume of Production: 3913 [206 = 152 (2 in RHD), 246 gt (2,487, 488 RHD, and 246 GTS (1,274, 235 RHD).

Ferrari 250 GT SWB Spyder California

  • Years produced: 1960-1963
  • Volume of Production: 56, three alloy bodies.

Ferrari F50

  • Years produced: 1994 – 1996
  • Volume of production: 380.

Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

  • Years produced: 2003 – 2004.
  • Volume of production: 1,288 (119 RHD).This is obviously a subjective matter, so let’s hear what you think of my three. What would be your top three Ferrari’s of all time?
