It must be highlighted that these top 10 (plus one) essential things to do at the  2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed are according to the organisers themselves.  This wonderful event will take place between 11th and 14th of July 2013 and this year celebrates its 20th year.

1. Cathedral Paddock (presented by AutoTrader):

Highlight cars to see include the 2013 Pikes Peak Peugeot 208 T16, Babs, Delage 15/58 and Dale Earnhardt’s final NASCAR race winner.

2. Cartier ‘Style et Luxe:

Must see cars include the Phantom Corsair and Bugattis Type 41 Royale and Type 57 S Atlantic.

3. Festival of Speed 20th Anniversary:

Stable Yard exhibition of the first 20 years of FoS, plus an anniversary ‘moment’ with iconic FoS vehicles gathered on the hillclimb.

4. Michelin Supercar Paddock:

Stand near the assembly area and watch the latest and greatest supercar form –up with engines running.

5. Central Feature:

Stand underneath and look-up at the 911s dangling in the breeze as part of the 50th anniversary of this legendary Porsche. Also see the dedicated 911 paddock line-up, plus the Porsche ‘moment’ on the Hill.

6. Motorcycle Paddock (presented by Belstaff GSR):

Goodwood’s strongest collection of top bikes and riders ever, with top names to look out for, including Spencer, Roberts and Mamola.

7. Modern Formula One:

Watch the latest F1 cars fire-up in the assembly area, try to grab an autograph to two from the famous drivers, then watch them blast up the Festival hill climb.

8. Forest Rally Stage (presented by Skoda):

Take the free shuttle up to the Forest Rally Stage (either at Gate 1 or the F1 Paddock), to watch the rally professionals on the newly extended stage, and then walk back down hill through the forest and Activity Field areas.

9. New Cars:

Visit the huge vehicle manufacturer exhibition area, glimpse the future of transportation at FoS-TEECH (in association with BP Ultimate), look at First Glance to see cars yet to be launched in the UK, then walk over the bridge into the Moving Motor Show (presented by RAC Cars) to study the very latest new cars on sale today.

10. Land Speed Record Display:

Fourteen LSR cars and motorcycles on the hallowed Goodwood Cricket Pitch, including three Bluebird LSR cars together for the very first time, as well as Bloodhound making its last public appearance in the UK ahead of its LSR attempt in South Africa just a few weeks later.

11. GAS (Goodwood Action Sports):

The greatest live show of two-wheeled stunts in Britain with world-class riders on everything from BMX to trials bikes, all performing gravity-defying stunts in the huge GAS arena.
