Ferrari 250 GT (Bertone): Beautiful, desirable and very cool.
Ferrari’s bodied by Bertone are ultra rare. In the main Ferrari collaborated with Allemano Touring and Vignale, from 1952 Ferrari began a near-exclusive tie-in with Pininfarina. However, in 1960 Bertone created a special 250 GT (chassis 1739GT) for a Genoa Businessman.
Two years later Giorgio Giugiaro designed another unique 250 GT, this time for Nuccio Bertone himself. It was built on a 250 GT SWB (240cm wheelbase) with chassis number 3269GT.
The Bertone Ferrari was more spacious and more civilised than the production 250 GT Berlinetta, styled by Pininfarina. The front dominated by two wide vaulted air-intakes, meanwhile made reference to the nostrils of the “Sharknose” F1 Ferrari of the time. The car used the standard mechanicals of the 250 GT.
